About The Company

Subway Franchise
Subway Franchise Opportunity in India

Origins
It is said that roughly fifty years ago, a nuclear physicist pitched the concept of starting a sandwich shop to a college student. This legend has become part of the folklore surrounding the market. Fred DeLuca, a freshman in college, was the fortunate receiver of the generosity shown by Dr. Peter Buck, the donor. In addition, Dr. Buck gave Fred an initial investment of one thousand United States dollars, and the two of them entered into a commercial partnership that would not only alter the structure of the fast-food sector but also have an effect on the lives of thousands of people. They opened their first location in Connecticut, where they offered sandwiches that were not only fresh but also healthful and reasonably priced. The sandwiches were an instant success, which contributed to Subway’s meteoric rise to the top of the food industry. Despite the fact that it has become the corporation with the most franchises in the world over the course of several decades, the modest sandwich continues to be the cornerstone of Subway’s product menu.
A Unique Selling Point
Since the very beginning, “fresh” sandwiches have been the primary focus of the business. Even the advertising give the impression that this is the case by using simple taglines such as “Eat Fresh” and “Our healthier approach.” Sandwiches that are prepared according to the customer’s specifications in front of them have consistently been regarded as a significant contributor to the positive reputation of the brand. Of course, providing customers with a meal that is both wholesome and inexpensive is the primary goal of any business.
Future Plans
In 1965, Dr. Buck and Fred DeLuca opened the first Subway restaurant, and by 1974, they owned and operated 16 locations across the state of Connecticut. When the two partners understood that the goals they had set for themselves could only be accomplished by starting their own franchise, there was no going back to any other option. In the present day, Subway is the largest franchise in the world, boasting more than 42,000 outlets in over 100 countries, and it appears that the brand will reach this milestone in the not too distant future.
