PictureTime is a digital mobile movie theatre (MDMT). It is the first state-of-the-art digital mobile movie theatre in the world. PictureTime provides digital movie screenings on a large screen with Dolby 5.1 surround sound in small towns and rural locations. The DigiPlex infrastructure incorporates a custom-made, patent-pending Acoustics Enabled Inflatable Enclosure (AEIE) that can accommodate 120-150 individuals. Goa hosted the inaugural launch at the International Film Festival of India. PictureTime conducted a trial campaign in Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana in 2015. There are currently approximately 8,500 screens in India. 80% of these are in urban areas. There is room for an additional 50,000 screens in India. PictureTime intends to construct over one thousand theatres during the next five years. PictureTime is able to construct up to 100 displays per month through scaling. Picturetime currently has 15,00,000 customers, 25 digiplexes, 50,000+ hours of content displayed, a presence in 600+ cities across 18+ states, has participated in more than 10 film festivals, and aims to establish 150+ digiplexes by December 2020, making it one of the largest movie theatre franchise in India.
