About The Company

Offering Retail Franchise in India

Retail Franchise Opportunity in India

Fabindia was once a company that exported home furnishings. It was established in 1960 by John Bissell with the intention of marketing the different craft traditions of India. Fifteen years later, in the Greater Kailash neighbourhood of New Delhi, the first Fabindia retail store was established.
By the beginning of the 1980s, Fabindia had already established a name for itself as a manufacturer of clothing crafted from hand-woven and hand-printed fabrics. In the year 2000, Fabindia expanded its offerings to include non-textile products. In 2004, the company began selling organic foods, which represented a natural extension of the company’s devotion to traditional techniques and skills. Personal care products were introduced in 2006. 2008 was the year that saw the debut of handcrafted jewellery.
Fabindia is currently the largest private platform for the sale of products that are derived from traditional crafts and knowledge and has a presence over the entirety of India. The majority of these are crafted by hand in rural areas of India, and the company that makes them collaborates closely with the people who do the work to provide assistance with design, quality control, gaining access to money, and sourcing raw materials.
The mission of Fabindia is to provide clients with a selection of products and lifestyles that provide an alternative to that which is mass-produced while simultaneously supporting sustainable lives in the rural sector of India.
Fabindia is a well-known and established retail franchise in the industry. As of today, Fabindia has over 211 retail outlets across India, 2 stores in Singapore and Dubai, and 1 store each in Italy, Nepal, Malaysia, and Mauritius.
